The register runs on need‑to‑know.

Private credit in Australia isn't hidden, it's scattered across ASIC lodgements, ASX disclosures and ownership records. Piecing it together is slow and costly. Chreos screens the Large Proprietary and ASX-listed universe, then itemises ownership and loan-level data for the companies inside it, resolving related entities into a single Group ID. A group's ownership and debt footprint sits in one place. Lenders, advisers and investors use it to identify, research and target the companies and markets that matter to them most.

SCROLL
WHAT IT IS

Three linked views, one register.

Chreos maps Australia's Large Proprietary Companies, a population with no single public source, alongside ASX-listed companies carrying more than $25 million in corporate debt, and turns what they disclose into three connected views. Select a set of companies in one, and the others follow. Screening coverage spans the full identified universe; loan-level and financial extraction is built out company by company and is published with an extraction date against each record.

The data behind it stays live. Each company's Form 388 lodges annually; with roughly 6,500 companies on staggered financial year-ends, new lodgements land somewhere in the register year-round. But Chreos doesn't rely on the annual lodgement alone. It tracks market coverage and other public signals for refinancing, ownership changes and other developments as they surface, continuously. The ASX-listed universe works the same way. Updates aren't limited to the quarterly rebuild, but continue as new signals surface throughout the year, pulling data from traditional and non-traditional sources alike into one continuously updated register.

01 / LOANS

Facility-level debt

Lender, facility type, limit, balance, rate and maturity — captured wherever the underlying filing discloses it, across third-party and related-party facilities alike.

02 / FINANCIALS

Statutory financials by ACN & year

P&L, balance sheet and cash flow, sourced back to the lodged Form 388 or ASX annual report.

03 / 388 & ASX FILTER

Ownership & screening

Ultimate owner, group linkage and listing status — so you can confirm who's really behind a name, or catch that two companies are the same group, before you commit time to either.

WHY CHREOS

Screen first. Spend second.

The usual workflow runs backwards: find a name first, then spend money on a Form 388 or an evening in an annual report to find out if it's worth pursuing. Chreos flips it — screen the full universe of Large Proprietary and ASX-listed companies against the criteria you actually care about. You decide what's worth a closer look, and what's worth the primary source, before you spend a cent or an hour finding out.

Chreos is a research tool. It is not a credit rating, a recommendation, or financial product advice, and Chreos does not hold an Australian Financial Services Licence.

Full ownership chains

Trace ultimate parents across foreign-listed, ASX-listed, PE-backed and private structures.

Loan-level granularity

Every facility broken out by lender, type, rate, margin, security and maturity — not just a balance sheet total.

Financials by ACN & year

P&L, balance sheet and cash flow, sourced and page-referenced back to the lodged document.

Screen before you buy

Filter on facility size, lender, maturity or leverage across the whole register, and know which Form 388s are actually worth purchasing before you spend on a single one.

ON THE NAME

Chréos.

Chréos (χρέος) is the modern Greek word for debt. Its older sense runs deeper than money: what is owed, what is due, what must be accounted for. Debt has always been a matter of record.

In archaic Athens, that record was physical: a stone marker, a horos, driven into mortgaged land. Anyone could walk the fields and read exactly who owed what, to whom.

Today, there is no single field to walk. The record is scattered across ASIC lodgements, ASX disclosures and ownership filings; some public, some private, none of it in one place.

Chreos connects them into one record — one field to walk.
